| Once just a quiet village tucked
away in the northwest corner of Franklin County, Jack Nicklaus put Dublin
on the map in 1972 when he inked deals for the Muirfield Village Golf Club
and the surrounding residential subdivision. Twenty-five years later, more
than 30,000 people - many living in homes that cost in excess of $200,000
- call Dublin home.
As its name suggests, Dublin has
a significant Irish heritage. The town has turned its heritage into
a means of attracting interest, with tourism a major underpinning of the
local economy. One of Dublin's Annual Events is an Irish Festival,
which is a significant tourist attraction. Another major local fixture
is the Irish Marketplace, with more than two dozen local and national vendors
of Irish and Celtic arts and crafts.
Dublin has several fine Golf Courses,
and is in the national sports spotlight each year when the Memorial Golf
Tournament, an official PGA tournament, is hosted by Jack Nicklaus.
When you visit, check in to one
of the many fine Dublin Accommodations. And while you are here, be
sure to visit some of the many Dublin Area Attractions: we have historical
sites, sports centers, shopping centers, an amusement park, the Columbus
Zoo and much more.
An upscale Irish pub, a fine dining
steakhouse, gourmet food, a contemporary American restaurant, and
a wood-fired bristol are some of the places to visit when you are Dining
in Dublin. On the outskirts of the city are two fantastic malls that you
will really appreciate whenever you go Shopping in Dublin.
Dublin has now become a major player
as a city on the move. Home prices range from the low $100,000's to $2
million. Evidence of this growth is also found in the number of nationally
known businesses that call Dublin their home. A list of The Top
15 Businesses by Employment includes Nationwide and Wendy's Intl.

Over the last decade, Dublin City
Schools has been the fastest growing school system in Ohio. That
growth has produced a dynamic, energetic, and successful community of learners.
According to a recent study by Wright State University, Dublin City Schools
ranks l0th out of 612 public school districts in Ohio. While this
ranking is based on national test scores and standardized measurements
of which the Dublin community can be proud, it is equally important to
focus on the District’s mission statement, “The Dublin School Community
is committed to each student’s growth and success.” The community
and school district are committed to provide students with a well-rounded
academic, social, and athletic program designed to challenge and enrich
tomorrow’s leaders.
In an essay written for a City of
Dublin writing competition, an 8th grade student wrote, “...Dublin has
remained an ideal community ever since it was founded. The generations
of the past have prepared Dublin for its future residents. Dublin
has been, and always will be, the place for friends to find each other
around every corner...” |
